Making Hemp Milk was the genesis of enchantedbrave and continues to be an integral part due to hemp seed's amazing nutritional profile as they contain all the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids necessary to maintain healthy human life. No other single plant source has the essential amino acids in such an easily digestible form, nor has the essential fatty acids in as perfect a ratio to meet human nutritional needs. Hemp milk is an excellent addition to everyone's diet and particularly for those who are lactose intolerant or have nut allergies.
Contained in the pack are 1kg of Hemp seeds (not sprouted although we recommend sprouting before making your milk), a muslin cloth for sieving and a jar of our Immune Boost Blend to add sweetness and some extra antioxidant richness to your fresh homemade milk.
The following is to make 1 serving but you could do larger batches to save time:
1. Take 25g (about 3½ tbsp) of Whole Hemp Seeds and soak for 4 hours or overnight.
2. Sieve the hemp, rinse and drain.
3. Place hemp seeds into a blender and add fresh water (preferably filtered) roughly 2cm above the seed line & blend well.
4. Place the muslin cloth provided in a sieve or colander and pour the blend onto it, over a bowl, & squeeze until all the milk is extracted. (Optional: At this stage you can sweeten your hemp milk to taste. Start by blending it with a teaspoon of Immune Boost Blend and add more if required).
That’s it! Your milk is ready to be used immediately or bottle and store it in the fridge and use within 3 days. Discard or compost the remaining hemp shells and rinse & dry the cloth ready for next time.
For added potency, repeat stage 2 twice a day, for 3-6 days and continue to stage 3 using sprouted hemp seeds.
Make an ultra-healthy hempshake by adding and blending a banana or your choice of fruit.
